April Johnson

Director of Community Outreach

While in prison my biggest fear was getting out and ending up back where I had been, homeless and committing crimes to provide for my drug addiction. This fear is one many people share upon release. I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with this organization to be a beacon of hope for prisoners re-entering society. I want to be able to help others with that same fear, who also share a determination to change their path in life. To show that it is possible to trade the old self-destructive mindset and habits for a hope filled and purpose driven existence. By volunteering my time to plan and put into action donation drives and distribution events I am able to reach out and help those still struggling and also provide women like me who have achieved success in their lives and want the opportunity to reach back for the next person. We provide hope and guidance as well as an example of how to achieve success, what that journey looks like and how to share that road map.
